Back in the US of A

I only blog when my life gets boring. The highlight of my day today was taking my 84-year-old grandmother to Walmart. I'm home and, therefore, back to blogging. I'm sorting through a ridiculous number of photos from Europe, which I will post soon.



I will be the first one to acknowledge that this is a bit of a mess, but I'm painting for the first time in a year. I had lost interest in painting when I got stuck in this art school mode of painting=figure, but I decided yesterday that I just wanted to fuck around with paint (also, I decided that the lack of profanity on this blog is completely misrepresenting me). I wanted to paint leaf shapes from Australia and decorative shapes from the Alhambra, but right now, it reminds me of a Hawaiian shirt or something equally tacky. I'm considering only painting the leaf shapes, but I've always thought people who like plants are dull.
